Meet Dr. Curtis Williams
A man who has lived the detour.
At seventeen, he lost the grandfather who shaped his faith. The university he’d planned on told him to try again next year. That same university later handed him his diploma.
He went on to become a commissioned Marine officer, served in Iraq, answered the call to preach, and stood firm when his integrity was questioned. In 2023, as he prepared to retire, he preached his own father’s funeral and walked through grief behind the mask.
Then a door opened where he hadn’t known to look: a chief-of-staff role created just for him. Today he speaks, writes and coaches so others can see what he learned: grace leaves receipts.

Don’t despise disruption
A setback isn’t the end of your purpose. The door that closed may be the one you walk through later.
Examine the season
Ask, “What is this producing in me?” Hard seasons teach what success alone never could.
Trust beyond what you see
Borrowed faith can prepare you, but it can’t carry you. Faith has to become personal.
Obey the next instruction
You don’t need the whole map. Tap the wrench. Make the call. Take the next step.
Use the pain
Don’t waste what hurt you. Let it deepen your character, compassion and service.
Remember the receipts
Grace leaves receipts. Recall how you were carried before, and trust it again.
